Born out of a need for French Art de Vivre to be introduced to the English Market, Thomas and Patrick, French Nationals decided it was now for that change!

Their good friend Jean-Christophe offered them a selection of wines not available in the UK market and with that stepping stone, the rest, as they say, is now history!

The story below tells you a little more about House Cavaillé (Since 1949):

They are two fighter pilots from the French army, the father, the founder, Jean Cavaillé, who returning from the war, founded the Jean Cavaillé company in 1949, and Michel the son, a talented entrepreneur who developed the company from the early 70s. Hotheads? It always takes a bit of madness, passion and energy to embark on an adventure.

Between father and son there was a great bond and above all a common love for the Wines of Savoie, wines from their native land. A visionary, Michel quickly looked beyond the Savoyard hillsides to offer wines from all over France.

A few years later, at the end of the 90s, Laurent Cavaillé, son of Michel, who finishes his oenology studies in Beaune, will join the company. In the 2000s, it was the turn of Jean-Christophe Cavaillé, the last of siblings, to enter the running. It was in December 2021 that Sam, Jean-Christophe’s eldest son, joined the house founded by his great-grandfather. Driven by the same passion, they take up the torch of the company, each working in their chosen field. Laurent, like his grandfather, in the Wines of Savoie, Jean-Christophe, like his father, in the wines of France and abroad, and Sam in the sommelier business.
